Helm 4: install, upgrade, rollback

You will learn: to install a packaged app with Helm, change it, and roll it back.

Your shop needs a Deployment and a Service. Someone already packed both as a kit. One command filled in all that YAML.

helm rollback shop 1

install makes a called shop, at revision 1. Every upgrade adds a revision. rollback brings an old one back.

Predict

Revision 1: install. Revision 2: an upgrade with a bad image. You run helm rollback shop 1. What is the newest revision now?

Put one release’s life in order, first at the top.

Learn Helm 4: it shipped in November 2025. Helm 3 gets security fixes only until 11 November 2026. Charts come from chart repos or OCI registries. helm uninstall shop deletes the release and everything it made.
